Founded in 2018 by Stu and Ellyn Reynolds, Rocky Mountain TrimLight was born out of a personal quest for a permanent lighting solution. Introduced to TrimLight, a revolutionary product, the Reynolds met with its inventor and owner in Salt Lake City, Utah, as it was not yet available in Colorado. Impressed by the quality of the product and the integrity of its creators, they began promoting TrimLight throughout southern Colorado.

In 2010, Ryan Whittaker, the founder of TrimLight, grew weary of the annual ritual of hanging lights only to remove them amidst ice and snow a month later. Determined to find a better solution, he delved into research on home construction, seeking the optimal location for permanent installation. Recognizing that compromising the roof or gutters was not ideal, he settled on the fascia line.

Understanding the detrimental effects of UV rays on exposed lights and wires, Whittaker concluded that directing the lights downward would maximize longevity. Experimenting with various building materials, he devised a design that seamlessly blended with architecture while ensuring ease of maintenance.

With enthusiastic neighbors seeking information, Whittaker realized the potential and enlisted friends to launch TrimLight as a business. Since then, TrimLight has experienced exponential growth, with thousands of installations across the Wasatch front and over 300 dealerships established across the U.S. and Canada.

Despite technological advancements and the increasing reliability of LEDs, TrimLight remains committed to innovation. Continuously developing new and improved products, TrimLight aims to illuminate America and beyond with permanent, programmable lighting customized for every holiday and occasion, year after year.
